We are excited to announce the launch of the 7th year of S.T. Yau High School Science Award (Asia) (https://yauaward-asia.hk/) [YHSA(Asia)], a research-based competition for the brightest secondary students, regardless of nationality and ethnicity, to emerge early and fast.
Why YHSA(Asia)?
· The S.T. Yau High School Science Award (YHSA) was initiated by Professor Shing-Tung Yau in 2008 and has been running successfully for over a decade in Mainland China. More than half of the YHSA awardees have received admission into Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Princeton University, etc. in the last decade.
· In 2019-2024, a total of 1732 teams from over 31 countries and regions joined YHSA(Asia). Participants have gained rewarding and eye-opening experiences from the Award. Their outstanding research work has drawn the attention of local universities.
· YHSA(Asia) winning teams will be recommended to participate in the YHSA Finale (cash prize up to RMB100,000).
· Participation is simple. Research reports that have been submitted/awarded in the past with other competitions, if declared as such in the research report, will be accepted by YHSA(Asia). (However, research reports that have been submitted concurrently with other competitions will NOT be accepted.)
